The University of Michigan Wolverines football team kicked off their 2022 season with a resounding victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday, September 3rd. The game was played at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Wolverines emerged victorious with a score of 52-17.

The Wolverines dominated the game from the start, scoring touchdowns on their first three possessions. Quarterback Cade McNamara led the offense efficiently, completing 11 of 17 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Blake Corum was also a standout performer, rushing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

The Wolverines' defense was equally impressive, holding Fresno State to just 255 total yards. The Bulldogs' offense was unable to sustain any consistent drives, and they were forced to punt on six of their nine possessions.

With the win, the Wolverines improve to 1-0 on the season. They will next face the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday, September 10th at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. The Sun Devils are coming off a 40-14 loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys in their season opener.
