Just Copy What India Is Doing Former Pakistan Cricketer Urges Pcb To Build A Solid Foundation For National Team

'Just copy what India is doing': Former Pakistan cricketer urges PCB to build a solid foundation for national team

Danish Kaneria suggests PCB follow India's blueprint for success

PCB needs to focus on grassroots development and invest in infrastructure to improve Pakistan cricket

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to follow India's blueprint for success if they want to improve the national team's performance.

Kaneria, who played 61 Tests and 18 ODIs for Pakistan, believes that the PCB needs to focus on grassroots development and invest in infrastructure if they want to create a solid foundation for the future.

India has been a dominant force in world cricket in recent years, winning the Cricket World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013. The Indian team is also ranked number one in the ICC Test rankings.

Kaneria believes that Pakistan can achieve similar success if they follow India's lead.

"India has a very good system in place," Kaneria said. "They have a lot of academies and they invest a lot of money in grassroots development. They also have a very good infrastructure."

"Pakistan needs to copy what India is doing," Kaneria added. "We need to invest in our academies and our infrastructure. We also need to focus on developing our young players."

Kaneria's comments come at a time when the PCB is under pressure to improve the national team's performance. Pakistan has not won a major ICC trophy since 1992, and the team has struggled in recent years.

The PCB has made some changes in recent months, including appointing a new head coach and captain. However, Kaneria believes that more needs to be done if Pakistan is to challenge the top teams in the world.

"The PCB needs to have a long-term plan," Kaneria said. "They need to invest in the future of Pakistan cricket.

"If the PCB does that, I am confident that Pakistan can achieve great things in the future."
