Coach Confirms Star To Depart Ahead Of Expected International Call Up

Munster Lose Antoine Frisch; France Debut Looms

Coach Confirms Star to Depart Ahead of Expected International Call-Up

Munster have confirmed the departure of back-rower Antoine Frisch, who is set to join Top 14 giants Stade Francais ahead of an expected call-up to the French national team. The move will see the 23-year-old return to his homeland after three seasons in Ireland.

Frisch has been a key player for Munster since joining from Grenoble in 2019, making over 50 appearances for the province. He has impressed with his physicality and athleticism, and has been a regular starter in the team's European and domestic campaigns.

Departure Leaves Munster with Void to Fill

Frisch's departure will leave a void in the Munster back-row, and the province will be keen to find a suitable replacement. Head coach Johann van Graan admitted that Frisch will be a big loss, but he wished the player well in his future endeavors.

"Antoine has been a great servant to Munster, and we thank him for his contribution," said van Graan. "He is a talented player with a bright future, and we wish him all the best in his new challenge."

Frisch is expected to make his France debut in the upcoming Six Nations Championship, and he will be hoping to impress new national team coach Fabien Galthie.
