Ole Miss Wins 2023 Peach Bowl
Rebels Notch Historic Victory to Cap Season
Lane Kiffin's Squad Dominates Louisville to Secure Triumph
In a thrilling clash at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Ole Miss Rebels emerged victorious in the 2023 Peach Bowl, defeating the Louisville Cardinals 42-25. Led by Head Coach Lane Kiffin, the Rebels capped off a historic season with a statement win before a national audience.
Throughout the game, Ole Miss showcased its explosive offense, led by quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart threw for an impressive 341 yards and four touchdowns, connecting with star wide receiver Jonathan Mingo for two scores. The Rebels' potent ground game also made its mark, with running back Quinshon Judkins rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Ole Miss was equally formidable. The Cardinals were held to a mere 25 points, thanks in part to interceptions from safety AJ Finley and nickel back Ladarius Tennison. The Rebels' defense also generated pressure on Louisville quarterback Malik Cunningham, forcing him into three sacks.
With the victory, Ole Miss notched its first bowl win since 2016 and its first 10-win season since 2020. The triumph marks a major milestone for the program under Kiffin, who has instilled a winning culture in Oxford.
